Jackson Hole Restaurants and Dining

Jackson Hole’s nightlife has something for everybody. Fine dining, family dining, sports bars, brew pubs and dinner theatres offer variety that even city folk can appreciate. Jackson Hole Resort Reservations has put together a list of our favorite restaurants so you can get the insider’s scoop on where to dine in Jackson Hole.

In the Town of Jackson:

Alpenhof Bistro - This bustling, yet cozy and sophisticated après ski bar is European in tone. There's always plenty of conversation, and live music is performed Thursdays and Sundays. Big windows open onto the base of the ski area, and the roaring fireplace becomes an irresistible people magnet after the lifts close. 733-3242.

Anthony's Italian Restaurant - A Jackson tradition since opening in February 1977, Anthony’s has continuously adapted to changing times in Jackson Hole and to trends in the restaurant business to remain a locals’ favorite. There’s nothing fancy here – we just serve large portions of delicious home-made food at very reasonable prices – and the service, although informal, is very efficient and professional. All dinners are served with soup (minestrone or our creamy shrimp and clam chowder) and salad – and all the garlic bread you can eat (baked in-house daily). 733-3717.

Betty Rock Café - Great soups and sandwiches. Pizza in the evening. Showcases local art and is one of the best coffeehouses in town. Located on Pearl Street next to the Painted Buffalo. No reservations, beer and wine served. 733-0747.

Billy’s Burgers and The Cadillac Grille - Located next to each other on Town Square, Billy’s Burgers has the best burger in town. The Cadillac Grille has a menu ranging from traditional bar food to fine dining. The Cadillac is a great place to go with kids because of the menu variety. Full bar service. Reservations are recommended for the Cadillac and not accepted at Billy’s Burgers (the Cadillac also serves Billy’s Burgers). 733-3279.

The Blue Lion - The Blue Lion is located in a charming refurbished older house that owner, Ned Brown, purchased in 1978. The Blue Lion has been a Jackson Hole favorite pleasing discerning diners 7 days a week with everything from simply the best rack of lamb to fresh fish served with full-flavored sauces and salsas.. 733-3912.

Bubba's Bar-B-Que Restaurant - Located at 515 West Broadway, Jackson. Full bar service, no reservations. 733-2288.

Chinatown - Located on West Broadway in the Gun Barrel Plaza. Chinese food. Take-out, lunches and dinner. Full bar service, no reservations. 733-8856.

El Abuelito Family Mexican Restaurant - Located off town square close the Wort Hotel. Authentic Mexican Food. The lunch menu is great here. Dinners are very generous and El Abuelito has the best salsas (two different kinds) to start off dinner. The Margaritas are also very good. Full bar service. Reservations accepted. 733-2567.

Gordo’s South Park Deli and Market - Located just south of town. Deli, market, great soups and salad bar, breakfast. Gordo’s closes at 5:30, but has great lunch and breakfast. A great idea for sustanence on the trail or the river. Gordo’s breakfast burritos are not only tasty but unarguably, the largest in town. There are lunch specials every day as well as soups and a gourmet salad bar. No bar service or reservations. 73G-ORDO.

Harvest Natural Foods Café - Located off town square next to Mountain High Pizza Pie. An in house bakery and market that supports local farmers. Healthy breakfasts and lunches. Sandwiches, soups, salad bar and juice and coffee bar. Organic and vegetarian specialties. No bar service or reservations. 733-5418.

Jedediah’s House of Sourdough - Located on Broadway north of the town square. A favorite for breakfast. Great sourdough specials. Good soups and sandwiches as well. Bring your own beer, reservations accepted for dinner. 733-5671.

Koshu’s Wine Bar - Located off town square on Millward behind Jackson Hole Wine Company. A great dining experience with Asian and Latin influence cuisine. Huge wine list with knowledgeable staff. The mixed drinks there are also wonderful-try the apple martini. Full bar service, no reservations. 733-5283.

Merry Piglets Mexican Restaurant - We never start cooking your meal without you. Everything is cooked to order. Our salsa and sauces are made fresh, right here, everyday. We grill over mesquite fire for an authentic Tex-Mex Flavor. Our tortilla chips are made fresh throughout the day. We mash real avocados to make our fresh guacamole.

Mountain Express Restaurant Delivery - Delivers from The Acadian House, Anthony’s Italian Restaurant, Off Broadway Grille, Chinatown, Thai Me Up, Mountain High Pizza Pie and Teton Steakhouse. Drink deliveries are also available. 734-0123

Red Oak Grill - For generations, coastal California’s secret to great barbeque has been in the way it’s grilled – over an open fire of red oak. The flavor this native wood creates is distinctive and, until now, hasn’t been available far beyond the famed coastline of Santa Barbara.

Sidewinders Sports Grill and Tavern - Sidewinders is much more than a sports bar and restaurant. In the non-smoking family room, both kids and adults can order tasty munchies and check out the latest arcade games. In yet another large room, adults dine and dance the night away to some of Jackson Hole's most popular live bands.

Silver Dollar Grill - Jackson’s only true American Style Chop House featuring Black Angus beef, game and fresh fish. We are proud to serve only U.S.D.A. prime beef – mid-western, corn-fed and hand-cut, grilled over mesquite coals. An excellent wine list with many wines is available by the glass in addition to an innovative martini and margarita menu.

Snake River Grill - With unmatched elegance, the Snake River Grill — as featured in Gourmet, Bon Appetit and Quarterly Review of Wines — offers the finest in mountain dining. Western ambiance prevails in this warm, comfortable restaurant, with walls of lodgepole pine, a double fireplace of moss rock, and booths of fine leather and richly colored tapestry.

Thai Me Up - Thai Me Up serves authentic Thai food as well as gourmet creations. We have taken recipes dating back to the beginning of Thai culture and given them a flair designed for the western palette. Thai food encompasses four main flavors – sweet, spicy, sour and salty – you can have a meal that is a blend of all four or a meal that is more specific to one or two of these flavor components.
